In a double nod to Ukraine, MTV is presenting the 2022 MTV EMA Generation Change Award to Anfisa Yakovina, Lina Deshvar and Anna Kutova for humanitarian aid to Ukrainian war refugees and families.
The three honorees — Lina Deshvar, Anna Kutova, and Anfisa Yankovina — were chosen in collaboration with the philanthropic organization Choose Love for providing safety for refugees, evacuating and caring for families raising children, adolescents, and young people with disabilities, providing art and group therapy for women and families who have been separated from their loved ones, and more.
According to a press release, Deshvar is currently working with the nonprofit Ukrainian organization Seeing with the Heart, which develops projects for socializing children, teens, and young people with complex developmental disorders. Deshvar has visited military hospitals and delivered humanitarian aid to families with children who have developmental or physical disabilities, as well as those in difficult life circumstances, since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
