The 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards took place from May 18 to May 20, 2023. The actual award show took place on May 20, 2023, after a number of pre-show activities.
The nominees were revealed by actors Bisola Aiyeola, Adjetey Anang, Jasmine Olarotimi and Nifemi Lawal on Sunday, 16 April 2023 in a ceremony. A total of 12 categories were open to public voting, while the other 21 categories were decided by a panel of judges headed by Femi Odugbemi. The most nominations were earned by Kunle Afolayan’s epic film, Anikulapo.
Movie stars from Ghana and Nigeria enthralled the internet with stunning looks from entertainers and other national celebs across the nation.
Some of the biggest stars were presen at the AMVCA, including Juliet Ibrahim, Liquorose, Phyna, Beauty Tukura, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Toke Makinwa, Iyabo Ojo, Kunle Remi, Toyin Abraham, Nkechi Blessing, Tobi Bakre, Nana Akua Addo, and Mercy Aigbe.
