On his brand-new song, “Muchacha,” which was released via Sony Music Latin Label, Colombian newcomer Jhosy draws influence from Ghanaian and Colombian Legends. Jhosy taps into the Afro-dancehall Legend Stonebwoy‘s territory alongside Colombian rapper Tostao‘s space creating a sensational banger, “Muchacha” which translates to “Girl“.
Making excellent music is the commitment of these artists, because from there they transform and inspire. A powerful song that brings people together and realizes dreams simultaneously paves the road to the location set out for the trajectory as well as the brand-new sonic commitment.
Jhosy from Cartagena sings “Muchacha” with Tostao, a skilled member of the ChocQuibTown group, and Stonebwoy, the legendary Ghanaian performer of Afropop, dancehall, and reggae which he (Stonebwoy) was successful in merging together and curving a niche for it as “Afro-dancehall” and his been globally known as the pioneer.
“That day we visualized big, and today we are presenting ‘Muchacha’ which is a reality, plus I am happy to share a song with this talent that is ready for the world and we have a special guest, who is Stonebwoy, coming directly from Africa to pay homage to women with a love song”, says Tostao.
Jhosy made his debut with “Aurora,” a song that rapidly went viral; nevertheless, he emphasizes that “Muchacha” was already ready to go. The lyrics arose from a story about love and flowed freely; today, he recalls that, as on other occasions, he started to think that it would be a wonderful proposition for ChocQuibTown, one of his greatest art references and an influence in his career.
“When I received Tostao’s video, I cried, I couldn’t believe it was real, then they sent me another one where Stonebwoy reaffirmed that my desire to work with great and recognized artists was being fulfilled”, says Jhosy.
The video was shot in Jamaica, an enriching experience for the young man from Cartagena, who enjoyed the experiences with his reference to the fullest.
