Get ready for an electrifying evening of music and entertainment as rapper Edem brings back his highly anticipated annual concert, EdemFest. This year, the event is set to take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the vibrant Ho Jubilee Park in the heart of the Volta Region.
The much-anticipated concert will usher music lovers and fans to the Christmas celebration, and the show has a galaxy of stars lined up to perform.
In an interview, Edem said, “This year’s event will not be just special in terms of experience and activities but also because of the incidence of the dam spillage that affected major parts of the region.”
“I cannot talk about Edemfest without giving a massive shout to Dream Child, an NGO that is also driving a good course to support the country, including the Volta Region. Dream Child with their HoodTalk campaign has one aim, which is to do good in the community with impactful projects; hence, that is why we teamed up with them,” he added.
He clarified that the Gogetem Foundation chose to host an entirely free event as a result of the calamity.
“I want to share in the pain of my people, just like they have shared in my joy in so many years past. I know that it is not easy to pick up again after a heavy dam spill, but this is the little contribution I can make after bringing in more relief items with support from some of my renowned businessmen and Fertagro, an agriculture company based in Ghana in recent times,” Edem said.
EdemFest has become a staple in the local music scene, attracting both established and emerging artists who showcase their skills on one stage. This year’s lineup is no exception, with renowned names such as Epixode, Jupiter, Agbeshie, Tinny, Kelvynboy, and more set to grace the event with their electrifying performances.
Ho Jubilee Park, the event’s location, enhances its charm. Expect an immersive experience that blends music with the rich cultural heritage of the Volta Region in an environment of colorful natural beauty.
EdemFest serves as a platform not only for established artists but also for talented individuals from the region. By featuring local stars alongside well-known acts, it showcases the diverse musical talent that exists within our own communities.
