Held at the Chateau Marmont on Friday, W Magazine hosted its annual Best Performances celebration, continuing one of Hollywood’s most glamorous awards season traditions.
A-list celebrities and the year’s top performers flocked to the hotel’s renowned penthouse suite, which was hosted by W Editor in Chief Sara Moonves and Editor at Large Lynn Hirschberg. The event celebrated the magazine’s most recent portfolio, which was shot by Juergen Teller, and kicked off Golden Globes weekend.
The event, presented by Christian Louboutin, was imbued with an electric, convivial atmosphere ahead of the Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday.
W cover stars and Golden Globe nominees Margot Robbie and Colman Domingo were among the first guests to arrive, each immediately embracing Moonves and Hirschberg and marveling at the floor-to-ceiling images of their Teller images that adorned the walls. “This is very, very cool,” Robbie said. Even cooler? The moment when Hirschberg introduced Robbie to one of her biggest fans: Nicolas Cage, who she had never met before. (“I’m a huge admirer of Margot Robbie, she’s one of my favorite actors,” he recently told Hirschberg.) The Barbie star blushed upon their introduction and expressed that the admiration was mutual.
To commemorate the spectacular evening, hollywood stars received a special broadsheet of W’s entire Best Performances portfolio, presented by Christian Louboutin and equipped with a throwback set of stickers—a must-have for film and fashion aficionados alike.
