Anya’s casting was announced at the event, while Zendaya stole the show in a futuristic suit of armor. However, everyone of the costars contributed something unique to the event.
Granny accompanied her grand-daughter Florence Pugh, who was dressed in a hooded gown covered with sequins. All of the celebrities looked great, with Timothee looking particularly good in eye-catching slacks and Austin sporting a traditional long coat.
Attending the premiere were composer Hans Zimmer, producer Tanya Lapointe, and director Denis Villeneuve. Fidelity Dina De Luca and daughter Zoe joined the latter. The gallery has pictures of each of them!
Dune: Part Two is the sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s incredible Dune. The new movie follows Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) as he unites with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen to seek revenge against the people who destroyed his family.
“The first movie was a bit of homework for the audience that they had to learn about this world…there was a lot of back story, that’s done. Now the second one was more cinematic fun for me,” Villeneuve told Reuters at the London premiere, which featured a desertscape set-up and is the latest in several promotional stops for the movie.
“Much more difficult but much more fun to do.”
The epic sci-fi film is based on the novel Dune by Frank Herbert, which was released in 1965 and has won numerous awards.
