In the lead-up to the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21,’ Nigerian singer-songwriter Ayra Starr has revealed details of the project’s tracklist, including some big name features.
Set for release on May 31, the 21-year-old Afrobeats star took to social media to unveil the album’s 13 tracks, listing collaborations with American R&B singers Coco Jones, Giveon, Anitta, Asake, Millar, and Seyi Vibez.
This continues Ayra’s fusion of Afropop with R&B that was so captivating on her debut album, 19 & Dangerous. Describing the record as deeply personal, Ayra has said the album will give insight into her evolution as an artist and young woman coming of age.
