#25TGMAs: Stonebwoy Wins Big, Including Artiste of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and More

The 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) was a night of celebration and triumph for the country’s most acclaimed reggae-dancehall icon and afrodancehall pioneer, Stonebwoy.
The event took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1.
The reggae-dancehall performer emerged as the biggest winner of the prestigious event, taking home a total of six(6) coveted awards, including the highly sought-after “Artiste of the Year” title, Songwriter of the Year, Best International Collaboration, and Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
The Iconic Afro-dancehall musician also joins Sarkodie as the only two artistes to have won the enviable Artiste of The Year title twice since its inception in 1999.
Stonebwoy’s success at the TGMAs solidified his status as a true powerhouse in the Ghanaian music industry, recognized for his exceptional talent, captivating stage presence, and ability to connect with audiences through his unique blend of Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae-infused sound.
His passionate fan base, who had long supported the singer-songwriter’s quick ascent to the top of Ghana’s music scene, showered him with praise and admiration upon his victory.
