Ghanaian singer-songwriter and rapper, Kofi Kinaata, is set to grace the upcoming Horizon Sounds of the City FREE show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), at Chambers Plaza on the NJPAC Campus on Thursday, July 18, 2024, starting at 5:00pm.
Kofi Kinaata is known for his unique Fante rap style, blending highlife, hiplife, and rap. His music is characterized by mellow rhythms, catchy melodies, and meaningful lyrics. Kinaata has received numerous accolades, including the Songwriter of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards in 2016 and 2020.

Apart from his musical achievements, Kofi Kinaata is also involved in philanthropy and has initiated charitable projects in Takoradi. The event series aims to bring together Newark’s diverse community for enjoyable evenings filled with music, food, and fun. The weekly events will run from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursdays, starting with an annual celebratory dance party.
