Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have reportedly ended their engagement, bringing their seven-year relationship to a close, according to the Daily Mail.
The Coldplay frontman, 47, and the actress, 34, have “accepted the relationship is over” and are ready to move on, a source told the outlet.
The couple, who started dating in 2017, were last photographed together in 2022. Johnson has not been spotted with Martin during the European leg of Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour, although she did attend their Glastonbury performance in June.

Adding to the breakup speculation, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” star was recently seen in Malibu, California, without her engagement ring. While the exact timing of Martin’s proposal remains unclear, Johnson has been wearing the ring since 2020.
In March, insiders revealed that the couple had been engaged for six years. Despite their typically private relationship, Johnson shared a rare glimpse into their dynamic in November 2023, crediting Martin with helping her through a difficult period.
Martin, who shares two children, Apple, 20, and Moses, 18, with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, began dating Johnson after his 2016 divorce from the Goop founder. Interestingly, Johnson and Paltrow have maintained a close friendship, with the two women even photographed holding hands last year.
Paltrow and Martin, who married in 2003, consciously uncoupled in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2015.
