Kwesi Arthur Has Cancelled his ‘Summer Out’ Barcelona Show Due to ‘Visa Issues’

Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur has been forced to cancel his highly anticipated “Summer Out” show in Barcelona, Spain due to unforeseen visa issues.

The young artist, who has been steadily rising to fame both in his native Ghana and across the global hip-hop scene, was set to take the stage in the vibrant Spanish city as part of his ongoing international tour “Euro takeover.”

However, it seems that navigating the complex bureaucracy and requirements to obtain the necessary travel documentation proved to be a significant hurdle, ultimately leading Kwesi and his team to make the difficult decision to pull the plug on the Barcelona date.

The artiste in a tweet on X on Friday, August 16 said he’s facing issues with his visa acquisition, hence, his inability to show up at the concert on Saturday, August 17 adding that his team is working to rectify the situation.

“It saddens me to inform you that I will not be able to perform at Summerout in Barcelona tomorrow due to visa issues. My team and I are doing everything we can to rectify this unfortunate situation.

He further urged Ghanaians in Spain to show up at the concert regardless of his inability to perform as other artistes like Kofi Mole and others will be performing.

“My brothers will be performing at the show regardless and I urge you guys to go show your support for them,” he tweeted.

This is undoubtedly a major disappointment for the thousands of eager fans who had been eagerly awaiting Kwesi’s arrival, as well as a setback for the performer himself, who was no doubt looking forward to bringing his dynamic, high-energy live show to a new international audience.

Fans can surely expect him to make up for the missed Barcelona show with electrifying performances at his other scheduled tour “Euro takeover” stops in the coming weeks and months.

“New dates will be announced soon for my Euro takeover. See you guys soon. Much love,” he concluded.
