In a recent interview on the popular Dutch radio station NPO 3FM, the acclaimed Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist and Afrodancehall pioneer Stonebwoy provided exciting details about his forthcoming album, which is slated for release in October.
According to the pioneering musician, this new project will serve as both a “compliment and a supplement” to his acclaimed and Billbord’s “World Reggae Albums” #9 chart topping 5th Dimension album from 2020. Stonebwoy revealed that the as-yet-untitled new record will contain between 10 and 11 tracks, including several previously released singles that have already captivated fans.
Among these are the infectious “Ekelebe,” which features the Nigerian versatile rap star Odumodu Blvck, as well as the sultry “Your Body” and the inspirational “Pray for Me” featuring the legendary Haitian record producer and rapper Wyclef Jean.
Stonebwoy also hinted to an unconfirmed collaboration with global Dutch rapper Frenna, “but can’t tell if it will make it to the album,” he said in the interview.
Fans are undoubtedly looking forward to October to hear Stonebwoy’s latest musical offering, which promises to be a thrilling complement and continuation of his boundary-pushing creativity and will “be of greatness and a versatile African Afro style on the album.”
