Dream-pop icon Lana Del Rey has unveiled her highly anticipated new album, The Right Person Will Stay. The album is set to be released on May 21st, 2024.
In an Instagram post, Del Rey shared details about the collaborative process behind the album, revealing that she worked with renowned producers Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson, alongside country producer Luke Laird.
Laird has an impressive track record, having penned over 20 songs that reached the top of the Billboard charts. His remarkable portfolio includes hits like Carrie Underwood’s “So Small,” Blake Shelton’s “Gonna,” and Luke Bryan’s heartfelt ballad “I See You.” Beyond country music, Laird has proven his versatility by writing and producing tracks for a diverse array of artists, including R&B star Ne-Yo, Grammy-winning vocalist John Legend, and country icon Tim McGraw.
Del Rey expressed gratitude for the creative synergy with her collaborators, stating, “So grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, and Drew Erickson, amongst others.”
To further excite fans, Del Rey hinted that some songs from the album will be performed at her much-anticipated performance at Stagecoach Festival. The album’s first single, intriguingly titled “Henry,” is expected to be unveiled soon, generating buzz among her followers who are eager to hear what she has in store.
Earlier this year, Del Rey offered fans a glimpse into her musical evolution with the preview of “Henry, Come On,” a track that hinted at a potential country-inspired album titled Lasso. While she initially suggested a September release, Del Rey later clarified that she wanted to ensure the album met her artistic standards, stating, “I don’t want to turn it into something that’s half cooked, even if it’s super stripped-back. I want it to be what it was supposed to be.”
