Rising Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Drela bares his soul in new visuals for “Crazy Loner,” the sixth single off his viral ‘Bad Boy’ EP.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Morgan Casbboy, the atmospheric music video finds Drela wandering the desolate river shores, his pained expressions and slumped body language conveying a profound sense of isolation.
Drela lays his emotions bare, delivering raw, confessional verses about grappling with loneliness, self-doubt, and feeling like an outsider in his own life. Cinematic shots of the young artist on a boat and gazing pensively out a rain-streaked window drive home the track’s themes of alienation and inner turmoil.
“Crazy Loner” offers an intimate portrait of an artist struggling to find connection and his place in the world, marking a bold and vulnerable creative statement from one of R&B and Afrobeats’s most exciting new voices.
