2NE1’s Sandara Park to host new global audition show; “Be the Next: 9 Dreamers”

Korea and the Philippines are teaming up to launch a new global audition program, “Be the Next: 9 Dreamers.” This February, the biggest K-pop stars and makers, together with the Kapatid Network, will finally open the doors to “Be the Next: 9 Dreamers,” the highly anticipated global collaboration between MLD Entertainment PH and TV5.

The survival show will showcase 74 contestants from around the world competing for a chance to debut as global stars. The show is co-produced by MLD Company, home to MOMOLAND, Lapillus, HORI7ON, Astro, and more.

Not only will the program be hosted by a legend, 2NE1’s Sandara Park, but the mentor lineup is also stellar, including EXO’s Chen, MOMOLAND’s Hyebin, AB6IX’s Park Woo Jin, Bang Yedam, and HORI7ON’s Vinci. Meanwhile, leading K-pop choreographer Bae Wan Hee will join as the dance mentor, and producer Bullseye will serve as the main producer.

Be the Next: 9 Dreamers” is a talent survival show which brings gifted individuals from across Asia to showcase their potential on the global stage. From the global audition held in 2024, the aspirants have been narrowed down to 74, whose dreams are about to take flight—but not without fighting their way to debut as part of a new 9-member boy group.

These dreamers will find themselves under the guidance of expert judges and mentors from the industry to become global idols.

Known Korean make-up artist and stylist Narae Park and hair salon JUNO HAIR will aid the boys in their transformation into certified K-pop heartthrobs.

“Be the Next: 9 Dreamers” airs on TV5’s Weekend Trip block at 7:15 p.m. this February 8. More details will be revealed about the program and the contestants in the coming weeks.
