Stonebwoy debut unreleased song “FIRE” during his stellar performance at the TGMAs

At the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), held on May 10 at the Grand Arena in Accra, reggae-dancehall icon and Afro-dancehall pioneer Stonebwoy delivered a captivating performance that included a preview of his unreleased single, “FIRE” (also referred to as “FAYA”).
This debut added a fresh and energetic element to his set, which was widely acclaimed by fans and critics alike.
The song was first teased during his performance at SummerJam Festival 2024 and also with the legendary Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, a Togolese former professional footballer and fan of Stonebwoy, when he visited him at his house in Togo.
Stonebwoy’s performance was a highlight of the evening, featuring a blend of his classic hits and new material. He opened with “Send Dem,” a track that had already gained traction on social media, and concluded with his popular anthem “Jejereje.” The inclusion of “FIRE” showcased his versatility and commitment to evolving his sound, further solidifying his reputation as a dynamic performer.
Despite not clinching the Artiste of the Year award—which went to King Promise—Stonebwoy’s performance was celebrated as one of the best of the night. He did, however, secure the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ award for the tenth time, underscoring his enduring influence in the genre.
