This Tuesday, the grounds of the former Tafisa will host what is set to be one of the events of the summer and the year in Pontevedra: the Jennifer Lopez concert. And everything is ready in the city of Lérez to welcome the American singer on what will be the first stop of her European “Up All Night” tour.
Thus, the assembly of the stage that will host the concert is practically complete. Preparations for the infrastructure began last week. As confirmed this Monday at a press conference by the event’s promoter and PlayPlan representative, Jordi Lauren, it will be 16 meters high and 30 meters wide. In fact, more than 500 people have been working on the setup of the structure, with technical and sound tests already underway since Sunday.

New details about the concert were revealed this Monday at a press conference held in Pontevedra City Hall, attended by the event’s promoter and the Festival Councilor, Demetrio Gómez. The Jennifer Lopez concert will last approximately an hour and a half, with the American performing live, without any opening acts. According to Lauren, it will be a highly visual event, with her own dance troupe and video productions on large screens. However, the organizers announced a change from the initial plans regarding access to the venue.
Doors are still scheduled to open at 8:00 PM, but Tafisa Park will ultimately only be accessible through an entrance from the Os Tirantes Bridge, not from the As Palabras Bridge, as previously planned. The event is therefore scheduled to start at 10:00 PM. The promoter is adhering to contractual clauses and is not releasing information about capacity or ticket sales.
All of this information, as well as the total price of the event, will be provided after the concert. However, Jordi Lauren did confirm that part of Jennifer Lopez’s team is already in Pontevedra to prepare for the performance. Furthermore, although he declined to provide any information regarding the artist’s arrival or accommodations, sources close to the concert confirm that Lopez has been staying at the Gran Hotel in A Toxa since Sunday, accompanied by a private security team.
Interestingly, the concert’s infrastructure includes a team on the Lérez River to respond to potential accidents.
