Afro-dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy is turning up the heat this September with the announcement of his highly anticipated EP, “THE TORCHER.”
On Friday, the multi-award-winning artist sent fans into a frenzy after posting a five-second teaser across his social media platforms. The clip featured an ankh symbol engulfed in flames—an unmistakable metaphor for life, rebirth, and now, fire-fueled artistry.
He captioned it cryptically: “THE TORCHER 🔥💡 __.09.25”—with the exact release date left deliberately incomplete. While the suspense remains, one thing is certain: the project drops this September.
This isn’t the first time Stonebwoy has introduced “THE TORCHER” to the world. Back in May, during his electrifying opening performance at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, he raised an ankh symbol onstage, a symbolic gesture that now appears to have foreshadowed the new EP.
Stonebwoy, known for blending Afrobeat, reggae, and dancehall into a unique soundscape, has consistently pushed boundaries with his artistry. “THE TORCHER” is already shaping up to be another statement project, one that promises to blaze through charts and playlists worldwide.
Stonebwoy explained in an interview that the EP is a carefully put-together project meant to fill the gap and deliver something solid. He remained secretive about the guest appearances but characterized them as Ghanaian rappers who are doing very well.
With the teaser fueling speculation, fans are counting down the days until the EP officially drops. Until then, Stonebwoy’s message is clear: fire is coming.
