Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy made waves in Miami over the weekend after linking up with American rap mogul Rick Ross backstage at The Weeknd’s sold-out concert.
The Ghanaian hitmaker, who has been steadily raising the flag of African music on the global stage, shared videos of the moment on his X (formerly Twitter) page on August 17, 2025. In the clips, Rick Ross is seen hyping Stonebwoy, calling him “Number One” as the two pose for the cameras.
The pair were also spotted sharing a bottle of Rick Ross’s Belaire champagne brand before later joining the crowd to vibe and dance along to The Weeknd’s performance. The link-up drew excitement among fans, sparking conversations about a possible collaboration.
This isn’t the first time Stonebwoy and Rick Ross have connected.
