Pop visionary Halsey is marking the 10th anniversary of her groundbreaking debut album, ‘Badlands,’ with a gift to fans: official music videos for two of the record’s most beloved tracks, “Gasoline” and “Drive.”

The announcement comes with a striking teaser that revives the iconic blue-wig imagery that became synonymous with the Badlands era. The cinematic preview shows Halsey cruising through a neon-soaked city in a pink car, wandering among vinyl records and vintage cameras, and sharing the screen with actor Tyler Posey.

Hints of an escape from a sterile lab-like setting add an edge of mystery, suggesting the videos will expand on the dystopian themes that defined the album. The clip closes with the words shown on-screen, “WE NEVER LEFT.”

Described by Halsey as a “double feature,” the project promises to reimagine Badlands with fresh visuals while honoring the world that first launched her into stardom. Fans who have long clamored for official videos for “Gasoline” and “Drive” are now getting the anniversary treat they’ve waited nearly a decade for.

Released in 2015, Badlands quickly cemented Halsey’s reputation as a fearless storyteller, blending dark pop soundscapes with confessional lyricism. Songs like “Gasoline” became anthems for outsiders, while “Drive” offered a softer, more intimate lens into the album’s narrative.

It is a dark pop, electropop, and alternative pop record. The album was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and eventually being certified double platinum.

Additionally, fans can also look forward to the release of Badlands (Decade Edition Anthology) on CD and vinyl, arriving on August 29.

Available together for the first time, the anthology features 33 songs, including five new orchestral versions, demos, rarities, remixes, and the full deluxe album. The two-disc CD edition includes all-new artwork, while the 3LP vinyl edition comes in “Hurricane Swirl,” “Roman Holiday Blush,” and “Everything Is Blue” colors, presented in a triple gatefold package.

With the 10th anniversary in full swing, the Badlands era seems ready for a new chapter—one that merges nostalgia with bold, cinematic reinvention. Halsey’s double feature of “Gasoline” and “Drive” is “coming soon,” and if the teaser is any indication, fans can expect a visually stunning return to the world that started it all.
