abrina Carpenter is putting her star power to good use. As her sold-out Short n’ Sweet Tour moves into its second half, the pop star has selected the Transgender Law Center (TLC) as one of the beneficiaries of her Sabrina Carpenter Fund.

The Transgender Law Center (TLC)—the largest trans-led advocacy organization in the United States—is committed to ensuring that all transgender people can live openly, safely, and with dignity. The organization places particular focus on BIPOC, disabled, and HIV-positive communities, centering its mission on empowerment and collective resilience.

On 16 October, Transgender Law Center (TLC) confirmed that the organisation, which fights for the rights of trans and gender non-conforming people, had become a beneficiary of The Sabrina Carpenter Fund.

The fund, which was set up as a collaboration between the “House Tour” singer and non-profit PLUS1 in 2024, raises money to support a range of causes including animal welfare and mental health.

Support from Carpenter’s initiative will help TLC sustain its Legal Information Helpdesk, which responds to more than 2,200 inquiries each year.

Additionally, the contribution will fund programs that cultivate over 400 trans leaders annually, including the Disability Project, Black Trans Circles, and Positively Trans. These initiatives advance TLC’s Trans Agenda for Liberation, fostering leadership development and systemic transformation.

As the two-time Grammy Award winner embarks on the second North American leg of the tour, a new group of charities has been selected to benefit from the fund.

In a statement on social media, TLC thanked Carpenter for using her platform to “uplift trans joy and liberation”.

“The Sabrina Carpenter Fund will directly support TLC’s Legal Information Helpdesk, which responds to more than 2,200 requests annually and the training of more than 400 trans leaders through programs like the Disability Project, Black Trans Circles, and Positively Trans – driving the Trans Agenda for Liberation forward,” the organisation wrote.

TLC works to ensure trans people “can live freely, safely, and authentically” through “advocacy, education, and leadership development”.

At the end of Pride month back in June, it was revealed that Carpenter’s fund had raised more than $1million in less than a year, becoming Plus1’s fastest-growing artist fund to date.

At the time, Carpenter said she was “grateful” to use her platform to support those in need, and addressed her queer fans specifically.

“As Pride comes to a close, I want to send so much love to my LGBTQ+ fans,” she said.

“You’ve always shown up for me and I’m committed to showing up for you. Thank you for always uplifting me, making me laugh and showing how special it is to be authentically yourself.”

Since reaching the upper echelons of musical stardom last year, Carpenter has been a visible and vocal ally of the LGBTQ+ community.

During her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September this year, the “Espresso” hitmaker was surrounded by queer folk and stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, plus a range of banners carrying slogans including “Protect Trans Rights”.
