The management team of multiple award-winning Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy has officially announced a new date for the much-anticipated BHIM Festival 2025, shifting the event from December 26 to December 24, 2025.
The announcement was made through a joint press release from Burniton Music Group, the BHIM Festival Secretariat, and aslo the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA). The adjustment aligns the festival with the December in GH initiative — an annual celebration spearheaded by the GTA to promote Ghana as Africa’s leading destination for cultural, tourism, and entertainment experiences.
According to the statement, the decision to move the date was prompted by a scheduling conflict with “Taste the Culture,” a major GTA-backed event organized by the Blackstar Experience Secretariat, which was also set to take place at Independence Square on December 26. The overlap sparked considerable discussion online among fans and event stakeholders.
In the official communication, Stonebwoy’s team clarified:
“All other details (including the time and the venue) remain unchanged. All BHIM Festival tickets purchased for the previously publicised date remain valid and may be retrieved at the various redemption centres at the venue.”
The BHIM Festival Secretariat assured fans that the milestone edition will live up to expectations:
“With the date-related issues now resolved, our team will focus on showcasing yet another set of riveting, world-class performances to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the BHIM Festival.”
As part of the December in GH festivities, the rescheduled date reinforces GTA’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s creative arts and entertainment sector while positioning the country as a global hub for cultural celebration.
“This support reflects our dedication to amplifying the creative arts as a major pillar of tourism growth,” said Maame Efua Houadjeto, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
“The December in GH initiative continues to create opportunities that unite Ghanaians and attract visitors to experience our culture, music, and hospitality,” the a press release issued by Bright Asempa Tsadidey, Director of Corporate Affairs, further quotes the Chief Executive Officer.
The BHIM Festival 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Stonebwoy’s flagship concert — a decade-long celebration of music, culture, and and bridging the Africa-Caribbean gap. Over the years, the event has become one of Africa’s biggest artist-curated festivals, featuring electrifying performances from top local and Caribbean billed acts.
