History Repeated: Stonebwoy Achieves Back-to-Back Stadium Sell-Out at Epic 10th BHIM Festival

ACCRA, GHANA — Global Afro-dancehall pioneer Stonebwoy cemented his legendary status on December 24, delivering a masterclass performance to a record-breaking crowd at the 10th edition of the BHIM Festival.

For the second time in history, the Ghanaian superstar successfully sold out the Accra Sports Stadium, drawing an estimated 60,000 fans for a night that redefined the scale of independent music events in Africa. The atmosphere was electric long before the first note played. BHIM Nation devotees and international guests packed the iconic venue, which was transformed into a vibrant sea of lights and flags.

The festival’s global appeal was on full display with guest appearances from Mr. P of Nigeria’s legendary duo P-Square brought high-octane energy to the stage. Jamaican root-reggae star Fantan Mojah bridged the gap between Ghana and the Caribbean, a core mission of Stonebwoy’s brand.

Stonebwoy’s entrance was nothing short of cinematic. Appearing on an elevated platform beneath a massive suspended gold crown, the artist wore a sharp all-white ensemble topped with a striking gold horned headpiece. Against a backdrop of fiery visuals, the stage design signaled the arrival of African music royalty.

A Setlist of Spiritual Depth and Social Justice

The performance was expertly paced, moving through three distinct emotional phases:

  1. The Spiritual Opening: Stonebwoy debuted tracks from his new EP, “The Torcher,” including “Send Dem A Prayer” and “Outside Lifestyle.”

  2. The Conscious Core: In a powerful segment, he performed “Run Go,” “Greedy Men,” and “Black People,” addressing political injustice and the realities of modern African life.

  3. The Celebration: The night culminated in a high-energy party as the stadium erupted for hits like “Activate,” “Sobolo,” “Putuu,” and “BHIM Nation.”

This milestone 10th anniversary surpassed even last year’s massive “5th Dimension” edition, which saw 55,000 attendees. By pulling in 60,000 fans this year, Stonebwoy has solidified the BHIM Festival as one of the largest independently organized music festivals on the continent.

Beyond the numbers, the event celebrated a decade of cultural impact, proving that Stonebwoy remains the primary architect of the Afro-dancehall movement, consistently expanding Ghana’s musical footprint across the globe.
