In the newest entry in the Mission: Impossible installment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt. Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his IMF team set out on their most perilous mission yet in the new film to find a deadly new weapon that poses a threat to all of humanity before it gets into the wrong hands.
In case the title didn’t give it away, the new movie is the first of a two-part outing for Tom Cruise’s super spy. It’s been speculated that this could be the end of the road for the series, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most.
Although the first trailer for Mission: Impossible 7 was released almost a year ago, the film has been held behind lock and key. All we truly know is that it will have a strong connection to Ethan Hunt’s history and feature recurring actors from the entire series.
The new movie from the franchise, planned for release in theaters on July 12, 2023, stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales and also the franchise has also added some notable new names including Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom Klementieff and Marvel star Hayley Atwell as Grace.
Over a year ago, news of a dispute between Tom and Paramount over this particular movie surfaced.
