Coachella, one of the most highly anticipated music festivals in the world, has recently unveiled its star-studded lineup for 2024. With an exciting mix of established and emerging artists, this year’s festival promises to be a memorable experience for music lovers.

Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat will headline Coachella this year, the festival announced on Tuesday, with the shows set to take place in Indio on the weekends of April 12 through 14 and April 19 to 21.

One of the most groundbreaking aspects of this lineup is that Doja Cat will become the first female rapper in history to headline Coachella. Doja Cat last performed at Coachella in 2022 for the festival’s first year back from Covid, where she played one of the standout sets of the entire weekend.

This is a significant milestone for both Doja Cat herself and for female representation in the hip-hop genre. Her unique style, infectious energy, and chart-topping hits have captivated audiences worldwide, making her a deserving choice for such a prestigious position.

Another spectucal headliner act will be Lana Del Rey, an icon in her own right. Known for her hauntingly beautiful vocals and poetic lyrics, Lana Del Rey has amassed a dedicated fanbase over the years. Her inclusion as a headliner further solidifies Coachella’s commitment to showcasing diverse talent across various genres.

Prior to her upcoming headlining slot, Del Rey last played Coachella a decade ago in 2014 and was slated to play the 2020 edition before the pandemic canceled the festival. She appeared to tease a return to Coachella on her Instagram on Jan. 1, posting a picture from the 2014 performance alongside the audio for her song “Coachella — Woodstock in My Mind.”

Meanwhile, Tyler joined Kali Uchis on stage last year to perform their collaboration “See You Again” from his 2017 album, Flower BoyHe has performed at Coachella multiple times, as a guest artist as well as for his own sets with Odd Future and as a solo artist.

Gwen Stefani is also expected to reunite with No Doubt, as they teased a reunion just before Coachella’s lineup dropped, is also listed on the festival lineup in a similar slot that in the past two years listed high profile acts Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia.

Beyond the top liners, Coachella is set to include major acts including Blur, Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, Deftones, Bebe Rexha, Bleachers, Grimes, Jhené Aiko and Reneé Rapp.

Coachella has always been a platform for showcasing diverse talent from various genres, and this year’s lineup certainly reflects that ethos. From rap to alternative pop, attendees can expect an eclectic mix of sounds that cater to all musical preferences.

As fans eagerly await the arrival of Coachella 2024, it is clear that this year’s festival promises to be an extraordinary celebration of music and artistry. With Doja Cat leading the charge as the first female rapper headliner in Coachella history, alongside Lana Del Rey and Tyler The Creator’s undeniable talents, attendees can look forward to an unforgettable experience filled with incredible performances from some of today’s most influential artists.
