Ghanaian-American pop star Amaarae has been announced to perform at Coachella on April 13 and 20, 2025. Her performance will make her the first Ghanaian artist to grace the Coachella stage, cementing her place in music history.
Amaarae joins a star-studded Coachella lineup featuring other African acts: Tyla, Rema, Suen Kuti, and more. The Angels in Tibet crooner has enjoyed a remarkable 2024, featuring performances at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and a collaboration with American rapper and actor Childish Gambino on his Bando Stone & The New World album.

In July, Amaarae also became the first female Ghanaian musician to gain over a billion streams on all major music streaming platforms.
This marks a significant milestone for the genre-blending star, further solidifying her presence on the international music scene and representing Ghana on one of the world’s biggest music stages. The 2025 Coachella Music Festival will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, from April 11 to April 20.
“Coachella, and it’s completely different but also still Coachella. Loyalty presale begins now. Register at coachella.com with the same email used to purchase or register a wristband in 2023/2024,” the organizers announced.
