Award-winning Ghanaian musician and philanthropist Stonebwoy has officially launched the Livingston Education Fund, a new educational initiative under his The Livingstone Foundation aimed at providing financial support to brilliant but needy students.
The fund will begin by supporting students of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Speaking at the official launch after his Master’s degree graduation ceremony, Stonebwoy announced an ambitious fundraising target of GH₵1 million, which he hopes to achieve by the end of next year. According to the artist, the fund represents an upgrade of the Livingstone Foundation’s long-standing commitment to social impact, with education identified as a critical pillar for sustainable development.
During his address, Stonebwoy expressed deep appreciation to GIMPA’s leadership, acknowledging both the acting and former Deans of the university. He affectionately referred to them as “fathers” who continue to support and guide him, emphasizing the role institutional backing plays in the success of such initiatives.

He also took time to recognize his professional team, giving special mention to his Head of Public Relations and close associate, Gerard, as well as MC Yaa, for their dedication and support. In a heartfelt moment, Stonebwoy praised his wife, Dr. Louisa Ansong-Satekla, describing her as a “pillar” who helps bring many of his ideas to life. Lightening the mood, he jokingly announced that he had “signed” her as his newest artist under the name ‘Energy.’
Stonebwoy concluded by acknowledging his children, friends within the creative industry, and his extended family, stressing that the Livingston Education Fund is a collective effort. He described the initiative as a “family thing,” grounded in unity, shared responsibility, and community support.
