Lizzo is celebrating her birthday in a major way.
The Grammy-winning singer announced that her new album, Bitch, will officially arrive on June 5.
The “Truth Hurts” hitmaker shared the news on Instagram while marking her birthday on April 27, posting the album artwork alongside the caption: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! To celebrate I present to you — MY NEW ALBUM ̶̶̶̶̶ COMING JUNE 5TH.”
The striking cover art features a miniature version of Lizzo posed as the raised middle finger on her hand, matching the project’s unapologetic energy. She also joked with fans, adding, “Wanna get me a gift? Pre-order my album baby.”
Bitch will serve as Lizzo’s third studio album and includes 12 tracks, featuring her recently released disco-inspired single “Don’t Make Me Love U,” which dropped in March. Her previous album, Special, was released in 2022.
Speaking about the album title, Lizzo said reclaiming the word “bitch” represents empowerment and self-confidence. “It’s taking a label once used to diminish women and turning it into a declaration of confidence and unapologetic self-love,” she explained.
She added that naming the album Bitch felt natural because the word has become one she embraces “on my own terms,” adding, “I am 100% that bitch!” The album’s title track is set to arrive on May 1. Pre-order album HERE.
Lizzo also posted snaps from her birthday celebrations with an additional post, while continuing to push her new album presale. The Tempo artist even shared a rare snap of her cuddled up with her longtime boo, Myke Wright. The two were spotted out at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles for Lizzo’s birthday bash.
