RABAT, Morocco – On the night of January 16, 2026, the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat was transformed into a vibrant hub of African rhythm and celebration. Ghanaian Afro-dancehall powerhouse Stonebwoy took center stage for “The AFCON Last Dance,” the grand finale of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) cultural program.

The concert served as a high-octane farewell to the month-long tournament, blending the world of football with the unstoppable energy of African music.

Stonebwoy shared the spotlight with a massive international lineup, headlined by Nigerian Grammy-winner Burna Boy and Moroccan rapper and songwriter Stormy. The stage also featured Moroccan favorites such as Jaylann, ensuring a diverse mix of sounds that resonated with the local and traveling fans alike.

The Ghanaian superstar’s set was a particular highlight, marking a triumphant return to the stage after a previously scheduled performance in Tangier was unfortunately postponed due to technical issues. Stonebwoy more than made up for the delay, delivering a performance that many are calling the “heartbeat” of the finale.

The evening reached a fever pitch when Stonebwoy was joined by Nigerian rapper ODUMODUBLVCK as they performed their hit-collabEkelebe,’ with Moroccan producer and singer Elam Jay, and Moroccan singer-songriter Ameerah Jay also joining him on stage to perform the live debut of the official Morocco AFCON theme song, RISE UP AFRICA.” The anthem, which fuses traditional African sounds with contemporary urban beats, was met with an ocean of waving flags and cheers, perfectly capturing the spirit of unity that the 2025 tournament has championed.

Beyond the music, the event was a showcase of continental brotherhood. Following his set, Stonebwoy was spotted reconnecting backstage with Burna Boy and African football legend Emmanuel Adebayor.

The “Ghana-Nigeria-Morocco” energy was palpable, serving as a reminder that despite the fierce rivalry on the pitch, the two nations remain the twin pillars of African entertainment.

“Stonebwoy’s performance wasn’t just a concert; it was a statement. He proved once again why he is a global force, bridging the gap between sports and culture.” As the 2025 AFCON moves toward its final whistle, Stonebwoy’s “Last Dance” in Rabat will be remembered as the moment the continent sang in one voice.
