Following the passing of Liam Payne, former One Direction member Zayn Malik held off the US leg of his Stairway to the Sky tour.
“Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I’ve made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY Tour,” Zayn shared in an X post.
He then assured fans that the tour would resume in January, and their tickets would remain valid.
“I’ll post [the dates] as soon as it’s all set in the next few days,” he said. “Love you all, and thank you for your understanding,” the singer added.

Zayn expressed his grief towards the death of his bandmate on Instagram. “I lost a brother when you left us and can’t explain to you what I’d give to just give you a hug one last time and say goodbye to you properly and tell you that I loved and respected you dearly. I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever,” he remarked in his latest post.
“There [are] no words that justify or explain how I feel right now other than beyond devastated.”
Liam’s sudden death on October 16 stunned the world, following a fall from a hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires. He was only 31 years old.
