Stonebwoy Drops His New “TORCHER II” Ep on All DSPs

After weeks of anticipation and months of exclusivity, Ghanaian AfroDancehall heavyweight ‪‪Stonebwoy‬ has officially released his highly awaited TORCHER II EP on all major streaming platforms worldwide — and fans are already turning the volume all the way up.

The 10-track project, which first arrived on the artist-first platform EVEN on March 16, 2026 as a purchase-only release, officially landed on DSPs globally on May 11, giving the wider music audience access to the second installment of Stonebwoy’s evolving “TORCHER” series.

And the numbers? They’re already speaking loudly.

Within hours of its worldwide release, TORCHER II debuted at No. 6 on the Apple Music Ghana Top Albums Chart across all genres before climbing to No. 4. The project also surged to No. 2 on the Apple Music Ghana Top Albums Chart (Africa).

For Stonebwoy, the rollout represents more than just another project release. It marks yet another chapter in his ongoing mission to push African music — particularly reggae, dancehall, and Afro-fusion sounds — into wider global conversations while experimenting with direct-to-fan distribution models.

The EP’s initial release on EVEN reflected a growing shift among independent-minded artists who are increasingly prioritizing ownership and fan-supported ecosystems before moving to traditional streaming platforms. By the time TORCHER II reached DSPs, it already carried the aura of a cult release.

Musically, the project stays rooted in Stonebwoy’s signature blend of AfroDancehall rhythms, reggae textures, melodic introspection, and high-energy street records. The feature list adds another layer of dynamism to the EP. Jamaican dancehall star Jahmiel brings his unmistakable grit, while Nigerian alté singer Tomi Thomas adds smooth atmospheric flair. Ghanaian rising force AratheJay injects youthful energy into the mix, with 10Tik and Stonebwoy’s longtime hypeman OgeeTheMC also contributing to the project’s sonic personality.

Fans online have praised the EP’s versatility, with many calling it one of Stonebwoy’s most cohesive short-format releases in recent years. Social media reactions have highlighted the project’s seamless transitions, emotionally grounded songwriting, and the artist’s continued ability to merge Caribbean and African influences without sounding forced.

The release also arrives during another major moment in Stonebwoy’s already decorated career Over the past few years, the Ghanaian superstar has continued to cement himself as one of Africa’s most internationally recognizable reggae and dancehall exports, balancing chart success with festival appearances, international collaborations, and an expanding global fanbase.

While TORCHER II is currently dominating streaming conversations in Ghana and beyond, UK fans are also gearing-up for the “BHIM FEST” London 2026 debut at the, OVO Arena Wembly, on the 15th of August.
