Singer and songwriter Selena Gomez is celebrating her “baby sissy,” Gracie Elliott Teefey, as she turns 12 on Thursday. Despite their more than 20-year age gap, Selena shares a strong and loving bond with her younger half-sister.
To mark the occasion, Selena posted a heartfelt birthday tribute on Instagram, sharing a series of never-before-seen photos of Gracie along with a sweet message in her honor.
“Happy birthday to my baby sissy. As I cry writing this, my heart melts because I know you know I’m always on your side. No matter what. I love you, baby girl.”
The songstress shared a series of adorable photos of her sister throughout the years. She started the slide with a baby photo of Gracie with Selena kissing her tiny hand. The post also included a picture of Selena and Gracie in matching pajamas. The slide continued with another of the sisters getting cozy with fluffy blankets.
Selena also shared a photo of Gracie’s red carpet debut. For the unversed, Selena took the then 6-year-old to the premiere of Frozen 2. She further added an image of Gracie holding a huge stuffed animal and sunflowers.
The Emilia Pérez actress shared a mix of photos, including special moments, relaxed scenes, and everyday life with her sister, showcasing fun times like beach nights and seaside dinners.
Selena continued to share a video on her Instagram Story of a younger Gracie excitedly telling Selena to watch her BFF Taylor Swift’s ‘The Man’ music video. She wrote in the caption, “When she loves auntie Taylor than me,” adding a laughing emoji.
For the unaware, Selena Gomez was 20 years old when her mom, Mandy Teefey, welcomed daughter Gracie Elliot Teefey with the singer’s stepfather, Brian. Gracie was born in California on June 12, 2013.
