Fire and blood are officially returning to our screens this summer!
HBO Max just blessed fans with the highly-anticipated trailer for House of the Dragon Season 3, and it looks like the Dance of the Dragons is reaching absolute fever pitch.
The brand new teaser promises ultimate chaos in Westeros, reminding viewers that “there will be no doubt who the gods have chosen to rule.” We see the Targaryen dynasty at the absolute apex of its power, boasting more than 15 dragons under their control. But as we know all too well with this family, the higher you climb, the harder you fall.
The trailer hints at the tragic, slow crumbling of the empire, which all started when King Viserys broke a century of tradition by naming his daughter, Rhaenyra, as heir to the Iron Throne.
Even when Viserys later fathered a son, the court was left in utter shock when Rhaenyra retained her status as the chosen heir. Now, those deep seeds of division are sowing major friction across the realm, splitting the kingdom right down the middle between Team Green and Team Black.
