The vibrant pulse of OkayAfrica is set to come alive in Accra with the debut edition of its Culture Cafe series—an immersive experience designed to celebrate music, storytelling, and creative dialogue.
Scheduled for April 25 at Jambo Spaces, located within the Trade Fair on East LA Street, the inaugural event will spotlight Ghanaian reggae and Afrodancehall powerhouse Stonebwoy. Known for his global influence and genre-blending sound, Stonebwoy will lead an intimate interactive listening session, offering attendees a rare opportunity to explore the music that has shaped his artistic journey.
Guiding the conversation is respected music journalist Olele Salvador, who will delve into the inspirations, stories, and cultural influences behind Stonebwoy’s evolution. The session promises an insightful look into the mind of one of Ghana’s most culturally impactful artists.
Adding to the evening’s experience, a special playlist co-curated by Stonebwoy and 99 PHACES will set the tone, blending diverse sounds and influences. The audience will also be treated to a live performance by 99 PHACES, bringing an extra layer of energy to the event.
This first edition of Culture Cafe is co-curated in partnership with Jambo Spaces, reinforcing a shared commitment to fostering creative communities and cultural exchange in Accra.
With its unique mix of conversation, music, and live performance, OkayAfrica’s Culture Cafe is poised to become a must-attend platform for creatives and music lovers alike.
